A: No, the competition is strictly limited to unmarried girls.
Q: Are there any participation charges?
A: No, participation is free of cost for all.
Q: I am staying in Maharashtra but I am from the Gujarati community. Can I participate?
A: Yes, the competition is open to all. However, the participant is expected to be well versed in Marathi (must be able to understand and speak Marathi)
Q: I am from Pune but currently pursuing studies in Mumbai, can I participate in the Mumbai edition?
A: Yes, you can.
Q: I uploaded a wrong profile picture by mistake, is it possible to change the entry now?
A: Entries once submitted cannot be modified.
Q: Is it compulsory to upload the YouTube URL as mentioned in the application form?
A: No, it is optional.
Q: What kind of content is expected in the YouTube video? Can I upload any individual performances of mine?
A: Only self-introduction and intention to participate in the MT Shravan Queen competition is to be communicated through the video. Any form of performing arts viz. Dancing, singing, acting etc. is not expected and would not be entertained by the jury screening the application.
Q: Do you take offline registrations?
A: Offline registrations are only taken for the cities of Nashik and Nagpur.
Q: I don’t reside in any of the locations where the competition is happening. How can I participate?
A: You are free to select and come down to participate at any of the 6 locations as per your convenience.
Q: What specifications should I adhere to while uploading photographs during the application?
A: Please take a note of the following aspects related to your photo application,

Q: Can we upload selfies on website?
A: No.
Q: Is there any specific attire for auditions? Will there be changing room available at the audition venue?
A: No you can wear any attire (western/traditional/semi western) as per your choice. No changing room/make-up facility will be available at the audition venue. Hence, please come prepared accordingly. Please avoid heavy make-up which will add difficulty for juries to identify your face.
Q: How will I come to know that my profile has got selected for a city-level audition?
A: You will receive a call from Maharashtra Times office. Please note, only selected candidates shall be receiving a call.
Q: Will Maharashtra Times provide costumes for the finale?
A: No. You may have to purchase the same from fashion designing experts.
Q: Will Maharashtra Times provide accommodation and travel facility at the City Finale and Grand Finale locations?
A: No. Contestants will have to arrange for their stay and travel. The same is applicable for Grooming sessions at Mumbai, Pune, Nashik and Nagpur.
Q: I am afraid I might have to attend a wedding ceremony for 2 days during the grooming session at some distant location. Will I be excused for the same?
A: No. If you get shortlisted in the top 20, you have to compulsorily attend all the sessions.
Q: What if my exam gets scheduled between 12th August – 10th September?
A: You are expected to garner clarity about the same beforehand. If you are unable to ensure the same, it is advisable not to participate in the process as your availability during the entire duration is a must.
